Cub Scouts

Brock got to start scouts after he turned 8 this summer. They didn't have any meetings during August so he had to wait an extra month and he wasn't too thrilled about that. The scouts meet once a week and Brock is loving every minute of it. He is so excited to put his uniform on and see what new things they are going to do at that meeting. He is also loving "scout bucks". They earn "Scout bucks" if they wear their uniform, neckerchief, and bring their books and once a month they get to shop at the "scout store". I'm glad Brock is loving scouts and look forward to the many adventures it will bring into our lives.

Scout flight

Dustin had the opportunity a couple of weeks ago to go with the boy scouts who have been working on an aviation merit badge on a little flight over Pocatello. These are pictures out the window of where he works and of the plane they got to ride in. There is also one of the fire that was right above his work this summer. The boys were really surprised when they thought they were just going to see the planes at the airport and their scout leader had arranged for them to take a little ride. Dustin went along to support their leader and got ride as well. It was a fun night for all.

Back to School

I know this post is only a week old. School started here last Monday but hey at least I took the pictures that day :-)

Ok so it's not really Gracie's first day of school til after labor day but she couldn't miss out on having her picture taken with all the other kids.

Brock began 2nd grade and he was so excited to get back to school especially now that mom doesn't have to go with him to help test in the morning he can ride his bike with his sister.

Meggan was more concerned with who was in her class then who her teacher was. She began 5th grade and is supper excited to spend all her extra time with her friends.

MaKady started the first day of school at cheer practice at 5:30 in the morning. She really didn't want this to be her first day of school picture so we took another one when she came home. MaKady started 8th grade and yep they rule the middle school.

Here's to another fun FILLED(filled with preschool, scouts, piano lessons, Young Women's, activity days, dance lessons, cheer, soccer, PTO, baseball, wrestling, and lots lots more...)year and with lots of great memories to.

Brock's Big Day!

Last week we had the opportunity to celebrate one AMAZING BOY!!! It was Brock's birthday and he got to have a huge water fight with his friends, a party with cousins, baptism, and family luncheon. It was a great weekend. We are so proud of the decision he made to be baptized and join the church. We love you Brock!

Inkom Ward Youth Conference 2011

It seems when I take too much time between posts I'm not even sure where to begin.

MaKady, Dustin, and I had the opportunity to go to Youth Conference. We had an amazing time and it was wonderful to spend time with the incredible young men and women in our ward. Our theme for the year is "We Believe..." We used that and the 13th article of faith in each of the things we did with the youth. We went to the City of Rocks and to American Falls Reservoir. We did rock climbing, geo-caching, team building, had a testimony meeting and had a lot of fun playing at the reservoir. We had some spiritual moments and some really fun moments and sometimes they were the same moment.

Happy Birthday & Happy Mom's Day

May is always a great month. How could it not be? It's my birthday, mother's day, and our wedding anniversary. My birthday I got a new swing in the back yard, shoes, and a purse. It was a great day. Dustin was supposed to pick up a "small" package of shrimp from costco to go with dinner. He thought we should get the party pack. I don't think our kids have ever eaten so much shrimp in one setting. It was a great night. Dustin also made my favorite pound cake. It is so yummy. The kids made domino signs all over the living room floor for me. I also got books, plants, and a necklace for mom's day. For our anniversary we went to dinner and it was really nice to just go for a drive after and reminisce about the past 17 years, where we've been, where we are, and where we are going! I'm so grateful to be married to my best friend.

Talent Shows

It was grandparents day and Middle School Talent Show day. These are Meggan's and MaKady's performances. Meg did the Cha-Cha Slide with a group of friends and MaKady sang "Waiting outside the Lines" I'm so proud of both of them. Brock performed as well but I wasn't there because I had to get to MaKady's performance. He's going to do his again in a couple of weeks so I will add it then. okay for some reason I've waited all morning for these video's to post and it won't do it. So check out my facebook page or the youtube videos on the right of the screen to watch these cute kids.

Easter Morning!

With the convenience of texting we sent a message to the Easter bunny and had him deliver the kids baskets and hide some eggs while the kids were helping mom make dinner. I love technology. I also love how the Easter bunny knew just how different our kids tastes are in clothes. I have one who refuses to wear pink. (Bet you can't guess who?) Dad has early morning meetings on Sunday and we didn't want him to miss seeing the kids find their baskets and eggs, so Saturday evening it was.
Today was a beautiful day. We went to church, bbq'd with some great friends, and now the kids are on such a chocolate and sugar rush they are outside still playing. I'm grateful we get to celebrate the wonderful gift our Savior has given us and that we have family to celebrate it with. Happy Easter to you all!

Saturday Easter Activities

We decided to color eggs tonight after dinner. MaKady was gone with a friend, we missed having her help. I'll add pictures in the morning of them in their cute easter outfits. Happy Easter!

They tried to look like their eggs!

Look at those cute faces.

Our Easter creations!

I know, I know, I know

I know it's been a long time since I last posted. We've gone through and done a lot in the last six months and I missed out by not blogging about it. I know it's been a long time because my background was a Halloween theme :-) So here's to trying to catch up on what's been happening in our little family and little at a time through the next week or two. Love to hear any of your comments if there is anyone still reading this. Jen
