I don't have the pictures to prove it but WOW!!! what a weekend. We went to Lava Hot Springs on Saturday and had a great time and the only one's who are suffering from sun burnt shoulders are Dustin and I. I swear I put sunscreen on my shoulders and the part in my hair and those are the only places that burned. Go figure. We came home and the kids still wanted to play in the water so Dustin set up the pool and they had a ball the rest of the afternoon. I didn't want to lose the camera so sorry no pictures. Dustin and I borrowed a friends bike and went for a beautiful motorcycle ride on the buckskin loop it was so pretty. Having a bike is definitely on our wish list. We also went to a really nice BBQ on Sunday night at my cousins house to celebrate our grandma's 87 birthday. It was a really nice weekend and I guess now it's time to get to work. Hope you all had a great weekend as well.
Another season completed. We had so much fun! Brock played tee-ball with dad as his coach and Meggan played coach-pitch. Mom was the town rep. No more practice, or games. :-( The trophies are delivered and equiptment gathered to wait for next year. I'm sure it will be here before we know it.
It's official we have another JOB! Actually its just motivation to get up and exercise because the pay isn't great. Of course to a 10 year old she thinks she is raking it in at a $1 a day which is her cut if she delivers or babysits while mom and dad deliver. Actually it's been nice to get up and start the day off with a nice walk. I'm just looking at it like there are 30 people expecting me to get up and exercise. I'll let you know if it's worth it!
So summer is the time to finish up all those little projects I've been meaning to get around to. Mainly because the older kids are home from school and able to play with the little ones long enough for me to finish a project. I bought one of these vinyl stickers a couple of months ago and the other I got from my sister as a gift and they have just been sitting on the shelf waiting to get put up and I finally did it. The For ever & ever one is on our bedroom wall just below our wedding picture. The Home is where your story begins is on the kitchen wall across from our table. I love the feeling of accomplishing something! I'm off to find something else to accomplish.
The first is a picture of the upside down skateboard cake we made it was lots of fun to make and just as much fun to eat. The second is a picture of MaKady with her birthday sister. Her Great-Grandma Ada and her share the same birthday. GG turned 87 and MaKady turned 10. It was fun to see them blow the candles out together. The third is a picture of MaKady sharing her beautiful smile. She is an amazing girl and is turning into quite the young lady, way too quickly. We hope she had an incredible day. We love you, MaKady!!!
What a happy day! It was Dustin's birthday as well as Father's day and he got what every man dreams about rocks, sticks, and dirt. We had a big ugly stump in the front yard from yet another pine tree we have removed from Inkom but that is a story for another day and we decided to turn it into a flower bed. Sticks "railroad ties" made the frame a load of dirt filled it and some really good friends let us take rocks from their big pile so we framed the front of the yard with them. It all looks so nice. Dustin oes an amazing job with our yard. He also got a book about golf something he just never has enough time to enjoy like I am sure he would like. He also got a new seat for his bike. So here's to many more happy bike rides and enjoying our yard because we have such a great dad!
Baseball is in full SWING around here. With Brock playing tee-ball, Meggan playing coach-pitch, Dad coaching and Mom the town representative for Inkom, you would think we just can't get enough of the sport. It is definitely a fun and busy couple of months.
We just finished another year of swimming lessons with an awesome teacher, Denise. The kids absolutely adore her and she has taught them to be brave and do things they didn't think they could do. Brock loves to dive for toys, Meggan loves the rock wall and the diving boards and MaKady is loving learning strokes. I'm so impressed at their determination!
I've had an account for a while so I could keep up and comment on my sister's beautiful page, but I guess the time has come to start my own blog! We had a great time visiting with friends this weekend and I got some fabulous advice from Guppy about layouts and fun elements so my blog looks better then I could have done on my own. Thanks so much! I guess now it's time to start taking pictures and sharing them with the world. Here's to a great beginning!
Dustin and I met at ISU almost 18 years ago in a class his dad told him not to bother taking! In May we will celebrate our 17th anniversary of being married in the Idaho Falls temple. Dustin is the most incredible man I know. I am inspired by how deeply he cares about being an awesome husband and amazing dad. He loves to work in the yard and make our home a great place to be. I can truly say time definetly flies by when your having fun.
Braxton
Our First! Our Angel!
These are pictures of our first child, Braxton. He was born June 14, 1996 and passed away September 23, 1996. He was born with breathing problems and eventually passed away from complications of pneumonia. I can't believe he would be 14. We miss our little angel and we are sure he is busy being a missionary in Heaven.
MaKady
Miss MaKady
MaKady, what can I say... She loves to cheer, read, write, shop and has just discovered the fun of blogging. Click on her picture and it will take you to her blog. She is loyal, kind and a great friend. She wears her heart on her sleeve, laughs when others laugh, cries when others cry. She has discovered the joy of making her own money. What a JOY she is in our family.
Meggan
Miss Meggan
Meggan is so much fun to describe. She always brings a smile to your face. She loves to dance, play soccer, read, and tease her brother and sisters. She thinks of others before herself. She loves a good joke. She has many hidden talents. Ask her to share them with you. Meggan is also a huge help around the house. Meggan would eat ice cream 3 times a day plus snacks and dessert. It is her favorite food, especially if there is a cherry on top. Meggan is great at making friends she wants everyone to feel included. Were glad she's part of our family.
Brock
Mr. Brock
Brock is all BOY! He only has two speeds fast and faster. He is so much fun to visit with, he always asks great questions. Brock loves to climb poles, walls, mountains, anything. Brock makes friends with everyone, people standing in line, cashiers, the girl who cuts his hair pretty much anyone who looks interesting. They are just friends he hasn't met yet. Brock loves to work with his dad. Brock also loves school. Brock loves tools and weapons so he defintely holds his own in this house of girls. He is so full of love. We are grateful for the addition he is to our family!
Gracie
Miss Gracie
Gracie is growing up so fast! What happened to my baby? Yes she gets away with more then the other kids because no matter what she will always be my baby. She is so determined "stubborn" to get what she wants, do what she wants and we hope that she is always determined for the right things. Gracie loves to play "makeover" and if none of her sisters want to play you can find her giving all of the dolls in our house new looks. Gracie is a sweetheart!
